FORECLOSED is a narrative-driven action-adventure set in a Cyberpunk world filled with action, suspense, and experimental augmentations. Follow the story of Evan Kapnos in this sleek comic book styled game as he unravels the conspiracy behind his identity foreclosure. Who is responsible and why?
Hey Everyone
Today we’re talking about the world of FORECLOSED, specifically the state of personalised ads when your identity is a commodity, and nothing is off limits.
Near the beginning of our story Kapnos is presented a slew of different adverts when he gets within proximity.

Proximity triggers are not exactly new for adverts. What’s unique about these is that they’re also personalised. Through a person’s implanted firmware advertisers can address a customer audience individually based on their interests and history. Since his ID has been foreclosed, advertisers can’t address Kapnos directly personally as he (technically) doesn’t exist.

In our world advertisers can target citizens in several ways including holograms, classic billboards and images projected straight into your brain. Movies like Minority report and Back to the Future 2 have shown similar styles of personalised adverts.

In this dystopian setting we wanted to show how advertising can take things to far when given free reign - access to people’s personal information like financial data. Without any checks or balances advertisers may not care how much content you’re exposed to or how frequently.
