An amalgamation of the Edinburgh-Aberdeen Line as well as the Loop Line, the Fife Circle Line comes together to form a 45-mile “out and back” route, with services arriving and departing Edinburgh travelling in both clockwise and anti-clockwise directions. While primarily dominated by ScotRail passenger services, the line is so stranger to freight, nor to railtours - there is no scene more iconic than a steam locomotive crossing the impressive Forth Rail Bridge.
