Ahoy mateys!
It's been a few weeks since our last free update where we introduced a new captain and fleet management system, the ability to scuttle ships, and swap captains between vessels. We wanted to give you a quick update on our plans for future content as we look ahead to the next few months of development. Improving replayability: Additional maps and map generation Having been working through your requests in our backlog, we identified that a lot of feedback centres around replayability. Right now Republic of Pirates features a lengthy narrative-driven campaign and 2 x free play mode maps but to improve replayability we are now looking at the following FREE content:

More bespoke maps with unique geography, production conditions, and faction distribution to the pool of existing free play mode maps.
The possibility of a free play mode map generation system that will allow players to craft their own maps using a set of predetermined parameters e.g. starting island size, number of islands, island production conditions etc…
We’re hoping to release additional free play mode maps over the coming months, and the map generation system in early 2025. Quality of life: You can never have too much! Alongside the aforementioned content we will also be continuing to work on QoL improvements. We have plenty of requests in our backlog so we’ll do our best to address as many of these as possible in the next few updates. We hope you’ll enjoy the next wave of content we have planned and we’ll be in touch with further details soon. PQube
