v0.9.1.0 Patch Notes

The Amazing Crackpots Club!

A spellslinging dueling game for up to 4 players. Choose among seven cracked mages and use their unique abilities to shoot down your opponent’s magical flask while defending yours! Destroy your friends (and loved ones) in local or online modes!

Today's update includes some upgrades to our lobby system! We've opened up the ability to create 8 player lobbies! Note that this does not enable 8 player matches, but allows more players to join the same lobby and spectate while they wait for their turn. We've also added a 'Wins' counter, these are tracked for each player, and if a player gets a win-streak, the amount of consecutive wins will also be displayed! Since more players can now potentially join a lobby, we felt like our chat system needed a bit of polish. Chat will be available more consistently through more screens now, and we've also cleaned up some UI inconsistencies. Additionally, during a match, only one chat message can now be displayed at once, so that spectators can't just cover up half the screen with messages. We'll be looking at all of these systems very closely at today's Play with the Devs!, but if you find any issues yourself, let us know either through Discord, or on the Steam discussions!
Lobbies

Lobbies can now accept up to 8 players. Only 4 players can play at once, but the remaining players can still chat and spectate.
Lobby hosts can now force other players to go into Spectator Mode.
The Lobby Info screen now tracks the wins acquired by each player
You can now chat in the victory screen.
In-game chat messages can now appear during character intros and defeat animations.
In-game chat messages no longer overlap with Player Indicators.
There's now a maximum of 1 message displayed at a time while a match is active to save on screenspace.
Lobby Passwords are now hidden when typing.

Bugs Fixed

Fixed a bug with Mooscles's Custom Palettes where the colors in his toga would sometimes get flipped. If you've already created a palette for Mooscles, you may need to fix it manually.
