[b]Power Fantasy[/b] didn't see an update for a long time - but it's back better than ever! The game is getting closer to where I want it to be. There are too many changes to list them all, but here are the major ones:
[h2]NEW DEPTH SYSTEM[/h2]

Instead of selecting a single map for a hero, you now progress through four depths. The difficulty scales with the depth.
After surviving for 5 minutes, a map boss will appear. Defeat it to get access to a rift that takes you to the next depth.
This way, there is more room for build progression, better enemy scaling and meaningful meta upgrades. How far can you push your heroes?

[h2]META PROGRESSION OVERHAUL[/h2]
Instead of being tied to hard achievements, Blood Rubies are now being rewarded after each run - based on the amount of enemies you killed. They can also drop from minibosses.
Since you keep getting Blood Rubies after completing the Blood Ritual, you can now use them to purchase companions before you start a new run. I'm going to add more things to purchase in the near future (Stat boosts and Nightmare modifiers to customize your endgame).

[h2]REFINED PERK SYSTEM[/h2]
The perk system got some big improvements. It's more stable and the weighting of the different rarities got some tweaks.
I also added a lot of new interesting perks, perk chains and synergies to allow more build variety. I will add even more perks with the next update.
One legendary perk will appear about every 20 levels. I limited the access but made legendary perks and their synergies more impactful.

[h2]ULTIMATE[/h2]
I replaced the Dash with a new Ultimate mechanic. When your Ultimate is getting triggered, you knock back enemies around you and destroy all projectiles on the screen. There are perks and meta upgrades that modify the Ultimate recovery speed.
[h2]POLISH[/h2]
Almost every aspect of the game got an immense amount of polish: Performance, boss fights, hero traits, overall balancing, User Interface... Just see for yourself :)

[h2]UNLOCKS & ACHIEVEMENTS[/h2]
There are new unlockable perk augmentations and achievements. I deleted some of the old achievements so everything fits the new core game.
I will add new achievements and challenges with the next update.

[h2]EXPERIMENTAL SOUNDTRACK CHANGE[/h2]
For this version, I replaced the background music with some 8-bit tunes.
I made a poll on the Discord server: While being close to even, the majority of players would like to keep the metal music. I consider adding an option to swap between both soundtracks in the future. Feel free to join the Discord to join the discussion!
