Patch Notes 7/11/2024
- New advanced tire drag calculations per ground material.
-- Drag levels based on speed, suspension load, slip angle. Rover can now actually roll over in sand when sideways.
-- High speed sideways sand dig-in probably 'too instant' right now(?)
- RCS
-- Returned more to original strength levels
-- Less 'altitude based' strength
-- Can roll from roof to wheels with only tilt
-- Less extreme pitch strength
-- Hopefully 'best of both worlds'
- Rover
-- Change interaxle diff from locked to Viscous LSD. Under power diff is fully locked (1.0), while coasting/braking it's 0.2
-- Reduced axle diff coast from 0.5 to 0.2
-- Default setup brake strength reduced (was way too easy to lock)
-- Hopefully results in better off-power, under brakes turn in
- Rally AI times faster, harder to beat (for some!)
- Greatly reduced wind speed as it was hard to visualise or feel the physical effects
- Meteor particles updated
- Sand and gravel particles updated
- Driver pain trigger threshold raised so there's a bit less
- Replay camera updates, generally pulled back/zoomed out a bit more
- Meteors should fall a bit closer to the rover
- Slightly longer rev limiter cut out time, removed the custom 'limiter sound'
- Time scale/slow mo on replay controls
- Start lights go out instead of green
- Tutorials fixed
- Minor reflections improvement
- Night lighting updated so its less pitch/more ambient
- Can no longer be dropship extracted into obstacles (no collisions for now)
- Out of bounds tuning options clamped on UI
