Hey Everyone, We have a great update for you today – including some major improvements, new features, a new nation, and fixes to some of the remaining issues. This update focuses on enhancing both the strategic and combat aspects of the game. From the addition of the Kingdom of Sweden to a fully reworked melee combat system, there’s a lot to explore. We’ve also addressed several long-standing issues with world map pathfinding, ensuring smoother gameplay. Plus, the new battle stats window brings an extra layer of depth to every encounter. Now... let's take a look at what exactly today’s update (game version 1.02) has to offer. I’m only listing the bigger changes here: [b]NEW NATION[/b] [list] [*] New Nation – Kingdom of Sweden added to the game [*] Re-enabled Kingdom of Castille in campaign [/list] [b]BATTLE STATS WINDOW[/b] [list] [*] New victory or defeat window with combat stats added to all game modes [*] Battle stats window shows typical RTS information about units lost, killed, and remaining [*] Additional battle stats information is coming very soon [/list] [b]REWORKED MELEE COMBAT[/b] [list] [*] Big improvement to how melee combat looks [*] Melee units deal a lot more damage now due to having better positions to attack from [*] Reduced attack value of all melee units to compensate for the new approach to combat [*] Melee units are now much better at fighting ranged units, buildings, and siege weapons [/list] [b]REWORKED WORLD MAP PATHFINDING[/b] [list] [*] Major improvements to army movement on the world map [*] Fixed armies being unable to sail out [*] Fixed armies not being able to pass through certain passages, especially in mountains [*] All towns and hamlets on the world map have been tested for playability [/list] [b]MULTIPLAYER FIXES[/b] [list] [*] Fixed all instance out of sync issues in online skirmish [*] Fixed major issue in multiplayer where players would see different events due to sync issues [*] Fixed issue where units could not be afforded (cost requirements were way higher than shown) [*] Vast number of other improvements to the multiplayer connectivity and stability. [/list] [b]OTHER FIXES[/b] [list] [*] Groups window now centers on double-click and not single-click [*] Fixed big issue with units targeting livestock making it hard during combat [*] Armies on the world map will now update their banner to show war or peace symbol [*] Fixed issue with wall-mounted defenses exploding on firing [*] Fixed issue with hiring some mercenary units requiring a tech research first [/list]
