Update 159 - Beginner pets and new map mode

Fantasy Survivors

A rogue-lite where you fight thousands of creatures, unlocking characters and equipment, to challenge deeper levels. Team up with friends or go solo; all drops are instanced so you don't have to share. Satisfying gameplay combined with smart choices make one-more-run a no-brainer.

Hi all, Griffo will now appear in the Workshop once he's unlocked and provides pets to Survivor level 2 players. The full update contains the following:

Adopt-a-Pet where Griffo requires proof that you are strong enough to adopt a pet. The Stables icon is now available from Survivor level 2. The beginner pets do not give Attribute buffs.
The Hand of Midas will now have a small chance to turn the entire enemy into a gold statue. The statue can either be sold or given to Gerald to unlock a random Bestiary entry. The drop rate of the statues are very low and the Drop Rate attribute will not affect it.
Nightmare map mode is now available from Survivor level 4 and the new mode, Bad Trip, is available from Survivor level 5. Enemies run even faster, spawn faster and have more health. Note that both modes also affect the health and movement speed of bosses.
Characters that are unlocked now show what map they can be found in.
Small UI improvements were made, e.g. the player's in-game portrait now glows when the mouse hovers over it. When looking at an armor's Set or Weight details, a note has been added to say that the values are totals. The weapon Enhancement screen mentions that the number is a percentage of the weapon's base damage. You cannot accidentally sell equipment from the Stash by double clicking anymore.
I hope you enjoy unlocking and showing off your new pets. We tried to add pets that can be paired with characters. Till Later, André
