THANKS FOR PLAYING OUR CLOSED PLAYTEST

Lost in Prayer

Lost in Prayer is a traditional grid-based roguelike in which everything that kills you becomes playable. As a disembodied soul, possess the inhabitants of the afterlife to conquer either Heaven or Hell as you seek the final deliverance you were promised.

Hello Angels and Demons, Our Closed Playtest ends today and we’d like to thank you warmly for all your feedback. Launching a playtest is a key moment for us. It’s heartwarming to see the engagement from some of you and follow the discussions we’ve seen on our Discord. Your feedback helps us identify what currently works, what we need to improve, and what we should focus on next. If you want to contribute more feedback, and join the community, you can join our Discord. Here are the key areas we’ll be focusing on to improve the game experience and prepare for another Playtest later this year: Balancing :

The first floor is much harder compared to the later floors - once you get to them.
We believe it’s too hard to focus on learning the game while being in survival mode right from the first floor.
Some characters are currently overpowered - hello Godly Terrapin - we’ll be working on adjustments.
With Lost In Prayer we want every character to be a valid choice to win a run.
Improve the onboarding :

We are missing some tutorial elements to make the game accessible to newcomers to the genre.
Because we love eureka moments and the joy of discovery - something that’s part of Nine Dots’ DNA - don’t expect a heavy-handed tutorial.
Bug fixes :

Thanks to your feedback we are identifying and prioritizing bug fixes.
See you soon in Hell and Heaven. Matthieu
