In this patch we overhauled the storm system completely. Storms originally would randomly spawn when you transitioned to another zone and would randomly teleport you away from your current zone. Now stormy weather can spawn on its own at any time. The longer you remain in a storm the higher the chance you will be blown off course and show up in a new zone will be increased. You can safely wait out storms by finding shelter near an island. Storms will now also apply wind forces to your boat making traversing the see quite difficult especially if you are traveling into the wind.
