Are you a Steamdeck user running SteamOS or Linux? You'll probably notice some issues when running the game using SteamOS's default emulation layer, Proton. Things such as levels failing to load, the game not saving your progress, music missing, and the level editor just basically not working are pretty common under Proton, as it doesn't emulate the external file calls that the game uses to load content, only the game's base executable. As the Steamdeck is not available in many places, including where the game has been developed, it's not currently possible for this to be resolved unless Valve changes the way Proton works. However, you will still be able to play the game by running it under Windows - even a virtual machine should be sufficient if you want to avoid a Windows OS install! The game is not listed as compatible with Linux or SteamOS for this very reason, but it has been a point of confusion that has arisen a few times already due to Steam not discouraging purchases made from unsupported operating systems. If you're a Steamdeck user or expert and you think you have a simpler means of overcoming compatibility issues, please let us know! Thanks to everyone who's tried the game out, and sorry to those caught up by this confusion!
