Welcome in our new (fictional) testimony!
Story #7: Worker who suffered a fall
"I know that dreaming about falling is fairly common. You fall from the top of a ravine, a tall building, or into a hole. Personally, I get that sort of dream very often, and it’s always from the top of a ravine. I’d say it happens at least once a week. Yet I don’t have vertigo! That would be a hindrance for somebody who constantly works up in the air. As with many high-risk professions, safety plays an even greater role. It is based largely on the quality of the equipment, and that’s why it gets checked all the time. That’s part of the procedure, and after a while, you stop paying attention to it. That’s when the real danger comes, when you switch to reflex or muscle memory mode. When you work on the same wall, in the same basket and you use the same equipment every day, you see things without really looking at them. Lucky for me I wasn’t very high up, but I thought it was all over. When I hit the ground, I couldn’t get up, I felt completely numb, as if I was in a waking nightmare. They diagnosed me with multiple fractures, lots of internal and external bruising I’ll spare you the details. My helmet saved my life, they tell me. The paramedics very quickly realized that I had internal bleeding. Thanks to their work on the scene and on the way to the hospital, I lived to tell you this story today." Read our previous San PelÍcano Stories:

San PelÍcano Stories [1/10]
Don’t talk to me about karma or destiny | San PelÍcano Stories [2/10]
At that point I did start running | San PelÍcano Stories [3/10]
It was no longer a game | San PelÍcano Stories [4/10]
It isn’t always enough | San PelÍcano Stories [5/10]
Put your heart into what you’re doing | San PelÍcano Stories [6/10]

— The Aesir Interactive Team 🚑

Wishlist Ambulance Life now:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1926520/

Follow our socials for more:
Discord Twitter Instagram Facebook
