Disaster Golf

Disaster Golf is a new, fast-paced take on golf that requires you to react on the fly. Experiment with many combinations of natural disasters to navigate the golf ball through wild and diverse courses as fast as you can!

Hello Archie Attackers, If you have been keeping a close eye, and I mean very close, on the Steam page recently you may have noticed a few changes. Unfortunately, Disaster Golf's publisher, VoxPop Games, is closing. Hippo Havoc will be self-publishing Disaster Golf going forward. What does this mean for the game and for you, the players? For the game, nothing unplanned will be happening. We have one more update in the pipeline, then Disaster Golf will be going into a stasis state. As members of the team want to work on it, we will, but no planned updates will be coming out after the next one. I want to reiterate, this is not a result of VoxPop's closure. This was planned before. We will be leaving the VoxPop splash screen in as a thank you to them for all the help. For you, the players: almost nothing will be changing. If you need support, contact us (Hippo Havoc) via the details on the Steam page instead of VoxPop. Everything else will remain the same. VoxPop helped us in more ways than just marketing or publishing. They provided advice on navigating the indie games space, they were constantly telling us why they were doing certain things to make sure we knew for the future, and most importantly, they were our friends. Without VoxPop, neither Disaster Golf nor Hippo Havoc would be where they are today. We would like to shout out the people we worked with directly as a show of thanks and to help boost visibility for their future endeavors: Connor Riley (https://www.connorrileymedia.com/) Connor was part of the original university team that created Disaster Golf. He is responsible for the level Change of Scenery, so if you enjoy that level, now you know who made it! Also, if you played the beta and alpha versions of the level - those being the ones developed during university in 2021 - we sincerely apologize (though I still think they were neat - Auri). Connor is the one who brought VoxPop onto our radar, and he was the main force behind content like livestreams and the "How-To" shorts on the VoxPop YouTube channel. Marc Anthony Rodriguez (https://www.linkedin.com/in/marcarodriguez/) Marc was our primary point of contact after Connor introduced us. He was the one actually doing the marketing, getting us in contact with the press, and a million other things all at once. How he had time for anything, the world will never know. Marc was the silent force keeping the game moving forward and ensuring that people - like you! - knew about it. And know that anyone we didn't list is awesome too! We just didn't work with them directly. Happy Golfing, - Hippo Havoc (Auri, TJ, Kyle, Ash)
