Playtest build January 2025

Ahoy freebooters We are live with a new build! There's been a big overhaul to combat and challenges. [h3]New features[/h3] - Big graphical overhaul to the UI - Ships use a better physics model so they ride waves better - New aiming method where you can always fire cannons and adjust level of auto aim in the options menu - New weapon: The fast motor cannon - New weapon: The experimental convolution cannon that pushes enemies - New weapon: The full pounder, a giant iron fist ram that lets you suckerpunch other ships! - Challenges have been improved with new mechanics - Do heists for the Shaped Folk - Reworked how enemies spawn so it scales better with the intended difficulty - A big chunk of vibes related to crew relations has been added - Vibes now show portraits of involved crew - Streamlined tutorial level layout to make it faster to complete - Monsters have been moved over to new AI system - And an ingame changelog if you fancy reading all of this twice [h3]Bug fixes[/h3] - Fixed quest targets could spawn inside floating settlements [h3]Known issues[/h3] - We have not set dressed the new tutorial level layout yet so that’s why it’s quite barren. - The game now features "airships" and dancing patrol ships due to the new ship physics Have fun and do let us know of any bugs on our Discord page or the forums.
