Easy Anti Cheat has been removed
Aeternum Game Studios has decided to remove the EAC feature from Aeterna Noctis to ensure full accessibility to players and also in response to the demands of the community.
We understand that the addition of this functionality has not been well-received by certain sectors, and has also posed a problem for those players who for accessibility reasons have not been able to enjoy the title.
Instead, we have designed our own anti-cheat system that only applies to the leaderboards of the timed trials. This way, the stats obtained will remain legitimate without affecting the rest of the content of Aeterna Noctis, that is, gameplay elements and features that are single-player.
We have always listened to the community. This has been one of our hallmarks as a dev team. It is thanks to your suggestions that the Aeterna Universe has never stopped including improvements based on player feedback. The message was clear, EAC was an addition that was not liked and now it is history.
We would be very grateful if, just as you have expressed your disagreement with the inclusion of EAC, now that it has been removed from the title, you would also share it on the Steam forum and the rest of the networks, so that the news reaches all players. We trust that this decision will allow Aeterna Noctis to be valued solely for its playable values.
Long live the King of Darkness!
