One year celebration with a new story DLC
It's been a year since The ER: Patient Typhon came out. We celebrate this with the free story DLC, SOS. In this new DLC, you return to The ER as an officer who must investigate a mysterious distress signal coming from the now shut down ER. There will be some answers that can be found in the new DLC, to some of the questions you may have after playing the main game. Maybe you will even find the answer that will let you walk through the door? (Hint hint)
It has been a great experience to make The ER: Patient Typhon, both because we have worked with some amazing people, but also because you have been a part of the journey. Thanks for all the Steam reviews, videos, fan art and for spreading the word about the game! It is appreciated! We still hope to reach 50 reviews on Steam, so if you have not yet written your review, hurry up. :)
In our home country, Denmark, the game has been nominated for best narrative at the biggest game award show we have in the country. That combined with the fine reviews we have received from several review sites and you, have overwhelmed us. We get so happy every time we see someone who has the experience that we tried to make for you.
Unfortunately, we do not have quite the sales figures we needed, so we had to shift our focus faster to our next game, Anglerfish than we wanted. Remember to Wishlist it. ;) Therefore, we had to make the new DLC in our spare time at our own expense. That made it a more difficult process. We also ran into new issues when GameMaker Studio 2 totally updated their game engine. This caused The ER: Patient Typhon to stop working properly. We worked hard to get the game running pretty much as well as before. However, should you experience something completely wrong, report it in our bug thread. Therefore, we are extra happy to finally be able to give you the new DLC. It’s made for you who have supported us. Thank you for everything you have done and we hope you will be part of our next gaming adventure!
We would also like to say a special thank you to LamNot. It is only because of his hard work that there are Japanese subtitles in the game. It's no secret that we are inspired by Japanese games, such as an unknown little game called Silent Hill. So, it has been a personal pleasure to see our game being played in Japan. We will appreciate it if you go to LamNot YouTube channel and give him a greeting.
