Listen guys, we were excited... ready to fucking go! But sometimes, things just don't work out the way you planned. Our lead programmer, handling most of the Remix project's coding, had to take his leave from Critical Bliss. It was nothing personal. He was simply offered a deal he couldn't refuse from the SFW side of the programming world. Despite our initial frustration, knowing that this would cause issues yet again, we still fully supported his choice and wished him well.
Sometimes, that's just how things go.

As many people know, game dev can be hard sometimes. We are not immune to unforeseen setbacks and whatever crazy shit that can happen while an ambitious project is being created. While plenty of people see the potential of what we are doing with Remix, we are [b]fully aware that there is a minority of people who aren't interested in the Remix project and just want NTRAHOLIC to finally be released on Steam.[/b]
[h3]Something had to be done to address this, so we chatted with Tira and made a decision.[/h3]
[i][b]CB and Big Ass Studio (Tira) decided last year before the holidays that it would be best to sell the two products separately. [/b][/i]We both agreed this would be the best choice for the health of both games, but we didn't want to announce anything until things were more official with Steam and they approved of what we were doing. Sorry for taking so long to make this announcement, but we decided to make a statement when we were sure it was possible with Steam's approval.
[h3]Does this mean Tira be on his own when it comes to NTRaholic then?[/h3]

Nope! As many of you know, [url=https://store.steampowered.com/publisher/MangoParty]Tira is releasing "The Censor" with MangoParty, a fellow publisher we respect and are allied with[/url]. MangoParty has done a fantastic job getting "The Censor" ready for a Steam release, and we are happy to see them handling the release for NTRAholic as well.
With this, you will no longer have to wait for Remix for NTRAHOLIC to release, and for the few of you [b]who don't want to support us in any way, this move allows you guys to choose to do so or not[/b]. Our success with Remix will now be solely on merit alone and will be up to us to impress with our work and effort. When the steam page for NTRAHOLIC is live on MangoParty's systems, we will let you guys know as soon as it's live! And we wish Tira and MP the best of luck!
[b]For those who are still interested in supporting both projects[/b], we are currently in talks for a potential Cross-Publisher bundle that will give you a certain percentage off for those who buy one or the other. If we get this sorted out will make sure this bundle is permanent, so the % off deal will always be provided regardless of what you buy.
Honestly, we are sorry that things took this long. A simple publishing deal spiraled into an ambitious project that both CB and Tira became passionate about. And if we knew things would drag out this long, we would for sure have done things differently! We hope this will remedy some issues.
[h3]Alright... sure. But What about Remix? What happened with the Demo, and is development still ongoing?[/h3]
Alright, let's get to it! We have a few things to show and talk about!

[h3]Programming[/h3]
As we mentioned above, losing our lead programmer was a bit of a blow that we had to remedy. To speed up future projects, we code in a way that allows for some of the systems we build to be reused, but this requires more advanced coding methods that "looking at a tutorial on YouTube" isn't really going to solve.
While we were able to find a replacement lead, we decided to hire more programmers and put them in charge of specific tasks for the overall project. While we are always aiming for high-quality projects, we are still learning the best way to handle things.
[h3]A sample of what in the Demo[/h3]
Last time we talked about the game [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/2173930/NTRaholic_Remix/][b], we tried our best to explain to all of you how much effort went into it [/b][/url]. Considering that we didn't have our ideal demo prepared, we decided that it would be best for us to simply explain what will be in it once it's ready!
[h3]Story[/h3]
The Remix Demo [b][i]will have all of Stage 0 section of game! [/i][/b]For those who played the original NTRAHOLIC, Stage 0 will end in a familiar part of the original game where Ryonosuke fucks Chiho for the first time. We consider this portion of the game to be the "introduction" before getting into the meat of the game. Later options truly open up and the player will have more freedom of what to do to some extent.

As we explained before, we are [i][b]relatively[/b][/i] sticking close to the plot beats of the original. Ryo becomes the couple's new landlord. Ryo will use the powers he gained from Lilith to have Chiho believe that she has a genuine bond with him. It will be up to you if you get all the prerequisites, sort of, to choose when to strike.

We have focused most of our focus on fleshing out the original cast, giving them more character and personal motivations. You will get a good sample of this from the demo and it will only expand from there in the actual game...

Remix is divided into 0 1 2 3 4 5 Stages! With stage 5 specifically being the post game after the Ryokan section of the title. We will discuss these stages more after we are finally happy with the demo we want to release to you guys. [i][b]We are especially excited for all of you to experience the Ryokan section of the game![/b][/i]

[h3]Mini Games[/h3]
Before we tell you some details on the mini-games you will be playing in the demo, please give us a bit to talk about our mini-game philosophy in Remix. While we understand that at the end of the day, these kinds of games are generally what people in the West would [b]call a "Cozy Game", we still feel obligated to create fun systems that require at least some degree of skill and a tad bit of brain power to engage. We have tried our best to stick to 4 rules to do this.[/b]
[b]1. Low point of entry with a moderate skill ceiling[/b]
At the end of the day, the aim of this simulation is for the game to still be rather relaxing to play. With this, we stuck with an important rule: All mini games must only require your mouse to play with [i][b], the only buttons being left click and right click[/b][/i].
[b]2. Reward players who play well with some kind of H content.[/b]
A lot of the time, there is not much reward in these kinds of games when it comes to them outside the mini-games that the player engages with the main wife. We have tried our best to ensure that every mini-game Ryonsuke plays has some kind of H rewords or that the mini-game itself is sexual in some manner.
[b]3. Make sure that all mini games scale with the experience.[/b]
With so much effort being put into these mini games, we wanted to make sure there are systems in place where players will have options to play harder versions of some mini-games. These harder versions will come with more H rewards of some kind or with a special currency in the game called "Succubus Coins" that players will be able to attain.
While there are general endings to the game that can be attained. Some endings will require engaging with more challenging content in order for you to unlock which will encourage repeated playthroughs.
[b]4. Have enough content and variation to entice players to return.[/b]
This one is the most important. It's part of why we put so much effort into content and design in the first place. If we are going to have players replay certain elements of the game in order to get resources or increase Chiho's corruption we want the players to have enjoy themselves and have enough variety to not get bored.

One of the most familiar systems is this kind of game, where you call upon the wife to come over and clean your apartment. We have greatly expanded what is usually expected with about 50+ animations for just one pose alone. As Chiho's Corruption increases and you progress through her stages, more options will become viable. The wilder foreplay becomes available, the deeper you explore the system, as well as hidden animation and reactions.

[h3]Private Massage

This mini-game clearly took inspiration from NTR Legend, where the protagonist also worked as a masseuse. We really liked the idea and thought of a way to add our own spin. After some back-and-forth, we ended up landing on an idea!

For those who have ever played Final Fantasy X-2, you will instantly understand what we are trying to accomplish. However, we wanted to expand on this system further to make it even more interactive.

There will be 3 variations of girls! Each variation have 4 poses that will be fully animated!
[h3]Hi Low Drinking Game[/h3]
This is meant to replace the drinking Janken game in NTRaholic. We wanted to make a drinking game that could also be played with multiple characters, as we wanted some special events to happen based on certain situations.

Oh boy, let us admit something to all of you. This took us a while to get right. One of the primary things we wanted to avoid is having any mini games that you can play be 100% based on chance. We don't find things like this fun, nor do we think most gamers do either, especially when it's a system that is meant to be revisited.
After multiple iterations we finally landed on the system we have now. We had to create an original card game that can be played with real people!

Even with the card game's mechanics being figured out we still felt like we needed something else. So we took some inspiration yet again from AAA and integrated it into the mini game in Remix.

To get this game right we deeply underestimated the task. Making a good card game was a surprisingly difficult task and we are happy to finally be past it.
[h3]Animation and Art
[/h3]
There is so much animation that it's simply better for all of you to witness it yourselves when the game releases. We can, however, assure you that whatever you think it is, it's more than likely more than that.
Despite this, we still use stills to progress elements of the story, much like Takeda Hiromitsu does in 爆乳パーティーNTR進捗 (Big Breast NTR Party). This aspect of the game is what we are most proud of, as we had to figure out studio-level animation on the fly. While we are sure we will do better in future titles, we are incredibly proud of what we are doing.
We can't wait for all of you to play and experience this!
