Combat should feel better, crashes have been worked on and your frames per second should be almost doubled in most area's. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Things added in the update: -You now turn 45 degrees. -Turning is now changed to clicking left and right instead of swiping. -Turning 180 degrees uses a top press on the touch pad instead of down. -Option to use the old swipe turning mechanic -Option to choose between 45 and 90 degree turning -Updated the Game Engine to the latest version. -Polished Combat. -Added Swing Sounds to weapons. Blunt sounds and Sharp Sounds. -Added Haptic feedback to swings. -Added Enemy Death Animations -Added Replay Tutorial Option. -Added Steam Name of your last co-op partner in the multiplayer lobby. (From now on). Added Volume options: -2 Music Volume Levels (Low and Normal). -Mute Music (So you can play your own). -Blackmark Shopkeeper is now a pseudo random room. So everytime you don't get it you will have a higher chance you do next time. Example: (1-50, 1-49, 1-48) etc. -Increased Frames per second and Occlusion Culling Performance. COMBAT: -Added Physics to enemy limbs and overal body balance when you hit them. -Added dramatic Death Grunts to enemies. -Added Death Ui on kills. -Changed the the ghostly Clubber enemy. -Adjusted Combat to make combo's and faster hits more realible. -Nerfed/removed Wiggling melee weapons. -Larger and longer swings with melee weapons do increased damage. -You can now throw weapons -When you throw a weapon at the right distance at a enemy you can catch it again. -Hand Axe, Daggers and the spear do increased throw damage. -Added new enemy animations -Added Different animations depending how heavy/big the enemy is. -Added Blocking for enemies. -Added Counter Attack for enemies. (When you attack their block move).. -Added Swing Trails. -Added HealthBars for enemies. (Can be disabled). -Added Visable Hit Impact on weapons. -Added New sounds. PERFORMANCE & FPS INCREASES: -Changed how lighting works. -Removed some image effects. -Reworked complex dungeon structures. -Optimised Player. -Optimised Enemies. -Optimised Weapons. This update will include the new combat system, healing potions, healing stations, improvements to performance and much more mentioned in this post. The new combat took me a lot of time to get right, I have been in my room swinging controllers at my enemies for way too long. Broke my room clock and some other stuff along the way. (gets a little too immersive from time to time). All worth it in the end though ːsteammockingː The new combat applies physics, blocking and counter attacking for enemies. I would love to get your thoughts and feedback on the new update when it launches early next week. I'm very excited to share the new features and improve the game, it's been a blast and I love working with you guys to expand and improve the game every update.
