Monthly Dev log (June) - Custom Art and Animations

Cabernet

Cabernet is a 2D narrative RPG set in a 19th century Eastern European inspired world, with a modern twist. Guide Liza, a young vampire in her new unlife among the unsuspecting townsfolk. Will you retain your humanity or descend further into the horror you have become?

Hey vampires, It’s time for the second monthly dev log for Cabernet! This dev log dives into finishing up the final custom art and animations, voice overs, and more! Party for Introverts, the developers of Cabernet, have also been posting some amazing videos on Tiktoks and I would recommend checking them out! I talked with the amazing developers, Arseniy and Laura, about what they have been working on this month! “Welcome back, little bats! As the sun heats up, Party for Introverts is still busy in the darkness working away on Cabernet. What is Arseniy not doing? As we are full-on in polishing stages, it’s a pretty diverse assortment of tasks on his plate. From implementing sounds to balancing skill points, Arseniy is being kept very busy with making sure you all have the best/smoothest player experience. And along with that comes fixing bugs, bugs, and more bugs. June is all about custom art and animations for Liza. While most of the main art is already in the game, there are still some particular objects and character movements that are needed for certain story-specific scenes. So while she is checking these off the list, Laura is also working through the backlog of background characters needed to fully flesh out the world, both vampire and human. We can’t wait for you to hear their work! Thanks again to everyone for following along. See you next month with another update! Party for Introverts”
