Welcome back Voidseekers. Do hope the holiday hangover effects are long gone for here is another belated Machina update present to unwrap!
A new class has been added, who filthy Boneraisers may recognise, called the Psycho Possessed. Each sector he becomes temporarily possessed by a class sharing all their traits, so is a more reliable but random take on the Mimic. There's the usual 3 achievements to get.
A mega version of the Ethereal Shade has been added which will show in the Unelemental Temple. The Temple can also now have a new hazard that spawns Shades nearby.
A new elite enemy has been added called the Torpedo Glider who drops long lasting unmoving bullets behind it to get in your way. They have a chance of spawning instead of the usual Gyron/Nukem to add a bit of variety.
A new Visibility setting has been added called Glitch Effects which turns off the black static screen glitch effect (eg when opening the Status Screen).
The Elementalist shop has 3 new item types to offer...
- Dynamo: Gives a bonus depending on the Element and is boosted the more Element weapons of that type you have (eg Argon Dynamo boosts enemy upgrade chance).
- Exhaust: Boosts a particular Body stat depending on the Element and is boosted the more Element weapons of that type you have.
- Leech: Boosts a particular Element stat each sector but reduces your Max Health.
2 new weapons along with their new traits...
- Cogger Convoker: An Elementless gun that dishes out Cogs each sector based on the weapon's Level.
- Circlet Amplifier: A new Elementful gun which Affinity auto-uses your highest Element stat and trait boosts its stats with each sector.
2 new hackable sector devices...
- Automated Upgrader: Upgrades a random weapon, ability, or drone for free.
- Cursed Monument: Enemies have a 16% of spawning Cursed.
3 new Drones...
- Occultist: Who can Curse enemies and boost the Curse's effect.
- Eggy Weggy: A cheap drone who each sector mimics a random drone.
- Element (5 types): Offers several different boosts depending on the Element.
Other new stuff...
- 3 new Abilities: Lure Glider, Bodily Bolster, Element Mist (x6)
- 1 new Passive Item: Sullen Urn
- 1 new Hat: Elemental
- 1 new Skin Colour: GOOOLD Plated
Some Rogue Convergence game mode stuff...
- The end timer for sectors has been increased by +1 second per sector (starting at sector 2 and capped to +6).
- Elite enemies can no longer spawn during the Swarm.
- Difficulty 6 Boss: The Shade enemies that spawn when destroying a Boss Eye now won't spawn if it was the final Eye.
Other misc changes...
- Improved performance if there's a lot of enemies.
- HUD: The timer will now show as a red skull and red text once the Swarm has been triggered.
- The Last Gasp health mechanic (where you're reduced to 1 Health instead of killed) now has a 20 second cool down.
- Slightly reduced the Level Hurt scaling (so late level enemies do a bit less Damage to you).
- Slightly reduced the chance of being offered a Lure Enemy Ability type.
- Elementless Forsaken class: They now ignore the usual max cap on all Mega Weapons.
- Argon Chamber item: This will no longer be offered in Difficulty 1 (since it has no benefit).
- Desecrated Remnants item: The amount of Shades it spawns in late levels has been reduced. Its cost has been reduced to 40 (from 60).
And bug fixes...
- Survival Function: Fixed a gradual slow down that greatly affected Difficulty 6 and sometimes Difficulty 7.
- Rogue Convergence - Difficulty 6 Boss: There was a chance of it spawning the wrong boss type.
- Rogue Convergence - Difficulty 6 Boss: The Survival Beacon would spawn partially obscured by the Boss.
- Rogue Convergence - Schematic Engraver shop: If you have 6 weapons then your weapon icons weren't shown in the correct position.
- Rogue Survival: Entering with any Element Fluid items would make them last for the entire run.
- Straima Ninja class: It didn't have a stash item for its Horizontal Fire trait.
- Mimic Mouldmaker class: In a Survival Function the Orbilas Kindle class items weren't creating orbitals.
- Vampire Survivor class: In a Survival Function the Techarcana Trove wasn't displaying its name correctly.
- Errant Knight class: There was rare chance of you being offered a Gatling Gun.
- Loot Box item: This could give a passive item you have yet to unlock.
- Store Restockments item: It could restock an item that should be locked.
Enjoy! :]
