We even peaked at around 400 players! There were some initial issues with the free early adopter skin shirt not dropping, but that should be resolved now. Mago and I had a great time playing on the official servers with the community at the start—about 25 players joined in. It was chaotic (in the best way)! We were impressed by how quickly everyone picked up the mechanics. We’re a small two-person indie dev/artist team, and playing with you or watching your streams has been incredibly valuable. It’s helped us identify bottlenecks in the game and even stress-test the servers. That said, we’ve already received reports of cheating, especially on the official servers. Some high player count servers even crashed at one point! Addressing these issues is a priority, and we’ll be trying to scaling up our efforts while the game is in Early Access. Cheating is always a cat-and-mouse game, but we’re on it. Currently, if you’re hosting a game, you can set a password or use the console to kick and ban players as needed. We’re thinking about the best strategies and anti-cheat measures to implement in the coming months. We understand how frustrating it can be to enjoy the game for six hours, only to have a cheater destroy your base in an instant. If you have a saved game, you can reload it and set your server to password-protected to prevent this from happening again. We’re reviewing all the improvement suggestions and bug reports you’ve shared. I’ll focus on addressing the most urgent issues first and schedule the rest for future updates.
