What are these 'Free Runs'? Oh, it's pure rogue-like genre, where battles and events happen completely randomly. Unlike the Story mode, it's all about continuous intrigue and freedom of action. It's a great way to play as each character and try out certain builds. Plus, players can expect various modifications, additional bonuses and rewards, slots, and much more. We want to share our vision for the design of the leveling-up tree and class icons for this mode. Each hero will start with a starter class, and then, as they progress, you'll have the opportunity to choose another class and continue your journey with it. What do you think? But let us assure you, we don't keep animators locked in the basement! We promise! It all happens purely out of love :) So, what's on the menu for today? We have some new additions to our lineup of characters. One bandit has mustered up his strength and joined the battle. But is he on the hero's side or against him? That's an extra credit question, because our game is filled with actions and their consequences. But you already knew that perfectly well. Now we want to share the results of this week’s work! But keep quiet – there's an elf sleeping here, and that might play into our hands. For example, the effects of wearing 3 and 4 pieces of the Barbed Set. The person who collects the whole set and then sees the effect in battle will definitely be a lucky one! And maybe they’ll be even luckier in the final battle, in attire like this. Do the new effects make it more clear visually? [h2]How About Some Chit-Chat?[/h2] Andrew aka Innrey, the founder of RedBoon is here. Very soon, we’ll finish the last final major updates (I mean the reworking of Vanadis) and focus closely on preparing for the release. Preparing for a release is a complex process. We want to present the game in the best possible way so that it lives up to both our and your expectations. Our to-do list includes many important steps: from the final adjustments of the game-play and hunting down of elusive bugs to updating visuals and animations and thorough testing. I see how hard our team works every day to make KOTCL a truly quality game. It's inspiring. Also inspiring is the support from the community—the fact that players are engaged in the game and its development process. It's nice to see new positive reviews, read discussions and advice from experienced members of our Discord server, as well as their answers to questions and help for newcomers. It's hard to argue that attention, especially positive attention, is truly very pleasant. It's worth mentioning that well-founded negative feedback is also useful; it's the key to development and a hint of where we need to work more carefully, as sometimes things are clearer from the outside. Besides the fact that there is a lot of work ahead of us on all fronts, preparing for release is also a very nervous time. Unfortunately, we can't see into the future like Mortis and find out what awaits us: how the final preparations will go, how players will receive the game, whether it will be successful or not, or whether we survive in the end. Jokes aside, these questions worry us. Of course, I would very much like the game to be successful, to be liked by most players, and to be highly rated. After all, we’ve been working on it for 5 years, and during this time there have been many ups and downs. Everything has changed, from almost the entire team composition to the game itself. Sometimes, when working on something, we look back and see the result of our efforts, of self-improvement and skill-development. I see that we have grown and continue to grow, becoming bolder and more confident. Honestly, regardless of the outcome, it will be a great achievement for us. We have come this long way alone, and I am already proud of what we have achieved. For everyone who is also working on achieving their dreams—don't give up! We mentioned it several times in today's video diary. If you haven't seen it yet, watch it. Perhaps you’ll get inspired and find something useful and new for yourself. The path may be long and difficult, but the end result is definitely worth it. And to everyone waiting for our game, thank you for your support. We couldn't have done it without you.
