When a nightmare creeps into reality, the only ones that can help are those whose magical powers we’ve believed in since childhood. A brave teddy bear heads to the far side of “happily ever after” to rescue his owner, Alicia.
On October 26th Steam Scream: The Revenge festival is coming to Steam, and we are happy to announce that with its beginning The Darkest Tales will get a major update 1.09, in which we tried to fix not only known bugs, but also to make as many important improvements as possible!
And that's not all: during the whole festival you will be able to buy the game at a discount! This is a great opportunity for new players to get acquainted with the story of Teddy Bear, who will go on a dangerous adventure through distorted fairy tales to save his mistress.
We're sure you can't wait to find out what we have in store for you in the update! And here are some of the most important changes:

redesigned jump operation - now it is smoother and controllability is improved;

changed visual display of some paths and passages to make them more visible;

adjusted deceleration and top speed for jumps, double jumps, wall jumps and jerk falls for better control;

reduced Teddy's fall speed for better control;

fixed Teddy's behavior when touching surfaces with his head: there is now a small time window in which the bear does not fall, which will help avoid accidental mishaps;

redone camera work on the first two levels and improved its behavior when Teddy is hanged to the "tongue plants”;

redesigned camera behavior when using stomp;

added DualSense support.
But that's not all - the list of fixes is extensive and also includes:

fixing an error when researching the sixth level;
