Stellar Commanders

Conquer the stars in this straightforward multiplayer real-time strategy game from the creators of First Strike and become a Stellar Commander!

Welcome Commanders. Are you ready for the next chapter of your space saga? Because we have a wide collection of new features for you. Update the game to try them out! [previewyoutube=TXluLjDzAUs;full][/previewyoutube]
Fight your best friend / foe in the FRIENDS ASSEMBLY mode
In the “Friends Assembly” mode you play with each other as friends to unlock new content together, but you also have to fight as foes to find out once and for all who is the RTS-mastermind of you two. Each player selects one out of three units to unlock and will get rewards for every game played against their friends until the selected unit is unlocked. To connect for a match, you only need to share the matchmaking code with the second player. On Apple devices, you can send the invite directly to a friend via your preferred messaging service by using the iOS sharing functionality. Never has it been easier to engage in an epic rocket battle with your best friend than now. You can also join our Discord and easily share your code there with other players!
More of a lone wolf? Discover the EXPLORER'S PATH
Your buddies aren’t available at the moment? You actually would prefer to play a bit of Stellar Commanders by yourself? No problem because now for the first time you can experience Stellar Commanders as a single-player game as well. “The Explorer’s Path” lets you experience a story for each of the three factions who are on the way to two new planets. You can play through seven hand-crafted daily missions per faction and some of them change the rules and offer new challenges even for veteran players. Ever played without any rockets at all? Or had to defend your capital against an onslaught of missiles? The two new planets with their high amount of Iridium will be the final challenges, featuring increased resource production and high-speed decision-making.
The Stellar Commanders universe is expanding with NEW PLANETS
This update adds TWO new maps to wage war on: Grindill and Forseti! Grindill is a swamp planet whose waters are glowing with Iridium, displaying a one tile path between the capitals and lots of small ways to defend this path. But be careful, on the backside you have four possible paths that are always in danger to be destroyed by the opponent. Forseti is an alien tech-planet that’s half broken, displaying its Iridium contents. It provides a huge playing field that has easy access, but also a small island where players have additional starting points for additional strategies. In these chaotic heavens lies Tantalus, the black market asteroid trading hub where the military secrets are up for trade. Noira Solveig, the owner of the hub, welcomes you, but beware, every secret will have its price. Playing Stellar Commanders rewards you now with Iridium crystals and enemy blueprints if you perform well in online battles. On Tantalus, you are able to then turn these in for shiny new skins or new units. You will earn Iridium clusters at every game, with rewards for consecutive wins and daily first plays. Enemy blueprints meanwhile are a very rare commodity. You will only get one upon winning and only one every day. So choose wisely what you want to trade them in for.
Brand-new UNITS with amazing abilities and unlockable SKINS
With this update, you get 17 new units to discover! Either by trading them on the Tantalus Black Market with blueprints and Iridium clusters or by unlocking them through the new game modes. If you collect them all, you will have a range of 60 playable units to choose from! Just think of all the possible decks you can build with the whole range of units. As a preview, we want to highlight the three powerful "hero units" which possess game-changing abilities:

Jin Guo gets the mighty Manta Assimilator. This massive drone will burrow on enemy territory and convert the next unit built on it. Stealthy tacticians could convert any unit this way. Just imagine an enemy Goliath suddenly spawning in your base!
UCW now has the power of The Panopticon Core. Justice & Liberty. Peace, Safety & Prosperity. Built with the intention of keeping up and spreading those values, this structure is an instrument of mass surveillance that allows the UCW to expand its territory without military conquest. The presence of this building continuously puts pressure on surrounding territories, which, over time, will automatically be converted and conquered.
Barovia's Apex Gate is a tower whose gaze opens a portal to an alternate reality which sends rockets back to the sender. The Apex gate can be easily outmaneuvered by smaller rockets, but big rockets will be sent back like in Tennis. A truly frightening giant rocket killer.
And it's not only units that you can purchase on Tantalus, we're also introducing skins. Skins are purchasable with Iridium clusters that you win on your plays. Skins are available for every faction unit and their light and colorful gradients paint your favorite units in a fresh light, while still retaining their visibility when playing online. P.S: If you don't like visual clutter, don’t worry: skins can also be disabled in the options menu.
And much more…
Among other things, we also improved the user interface in the main menu and gave the WAR ROOM a new look to give you a better overview of all the new modes. Now you can select the regular and new modes through the MODE SELECTION button. And in the new SOCIAL HUB you find all the links to our social media channels, including our Discord where you can connect with other commanders.
Time to conquer the stars and destroy some friendships on the way ;)
Now we hope you enjoy these new game modes and the brand-new content. Please tell us what you think about the new features here in the Steam forum or on our Discord server.
