Devlog #47

Hi all. It's been a while since our last update, but we wanted to share what the team has been working on. Despite some team members taking summer vacations at different times, work has continued steadily.
New update is in the works
We're thrilled with the server performance improvements achieved in the 1.14 update. Seeing 150 players simultaneously on the KR 5 server was a remarkable milestone, surpassing the goal of 100-player servers that we set when we launched in Early Access.
Currently, we're focusing on two major aspects:
1. A new environment that will completely rework how fuel is obtained in the game. We'll share more details once we have things more polished. 2. Reworking the mount system and adding 5 new animals that can be obtained as mounts. Rest assured, we are actively working on a fix and will update you as soon as the issue is resolved. Thank you for your patience.
Prestige issues
If you upgraded your prestige and want to move over to another server, there is currently a bug in the game that prevents you from obtaining the upgrade on another server. You can easily fix this by deleting your preferences save file, which causes prestige to be resynced with your device, fixing the problem. Go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Longvinter\Saved\SaveGames and delete the preferences.sav file. Then, when you log back into the game, it should give you the prestige.
Introducing the hardcore server
We've been planning a new server concept that offers a unique Longvinter experience, tailored for players seeking a more challenging and rewarding gameplay. This dedicated server will accommodate up to 200 players, depending on performance. The hardcore server is designed for players who enjoy a more punishing and intense playstyle. Here are the currently proposed "rule" changes for the hardcore server (subject to change):

No code locks on houses or tents
Turrets can be destroyed
Players drop half their currency on death
Weapons deal double damage
Energy drain from walking reduced by 80%
Loot respawns 2x faster
We'd love to hear your thoughts on this new server idea in the comments below!
