Lord of Rigel is a turn-based 4X space strategy game inspired by the classics. In a galaxy divided by two elder races, will you unite with other species or forge your own path? Greetings Lords of Rigel! As we move into October the focus will be on some requested quality of life improvements to the ship designer and tactical retreat. This update also includes some minor bugfixes and some new content in the form of a new technology. [h2]Quality of Life Improvement- Weapon Designer:[/h2] The weapon designer has been updated to include numerical range values and a breakdown of damage per second and damage types for each weapon. Please bear in mind that some high DPS weapons such as Autogauss weapons do have low damage against certain defense types, specifically shields, and may not be as effective as they seem from raw number values. This breakdown helps you make those types of decisions on weapon effectiveness by being able to weigh those damage types. [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/25142103/312fdbb6cafbf139233f19cc333d329b7295120c.png[/img] [h2]New Technology- Continuum Emitter:[/h2] The Continuum Emitter is a mid level Power technology that allows for two volleys of torpedoes to be fired at the same time at the cost of a doubled cooldown rate. This system is perfect for ships doing alpha strike tactics such as those using cloaking devices or close range plasma torpedoes.
