Today's topic covers a lot of changes related to [b]miscellaneous[/b] activities in the game. We'll be talking about updates of [b]Researcher[/b] and [b]Extractor[/b], improvements of [b]terraforming mechanic[/b], a new [b]City Hub[/b], and more changes related to multiple [b]UIs[/b] and their [b]functionality[/b]. And as a bonus, we’ll tell you about our special[b] Holiday patch[/b] that will for sure boost your Holiday spirit! Sounds exciting, right? Let’s dive into all the details! [h2]Tech Over Questing[/h2] We're making sure to create a [b]smooth learning curve[/b], which is why all the [b]basic tech[/b] you'll need at the start of the game will be [b]unlocked as you play [/b] to remove [b]overall complexity[/b]! [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38670119/64e10747bea2d5e44e571716c84b3ec6552bd714.gif[/img] [h2]Unrecognizable Researcher[/h2] We’re merging researches like [b]Water Tech[/b] and [b]Sprinklers [/b]into a single unlock, so (for example) all [b]water automation tech[/b] becomes available [b]at once[/b]. This reduces the number of unlockables in the [b]Researcher[/b], making the interface cleaner and easier to navigate! Before, The Lab offered [b]optional rewards[/b] that could be easily [b]skipped[/b]. Now, we’re making[b] prices clearer[/b] and [b]rewards more valuable[/b], like [b]inventory upgrades[/b] (moved from [b]Researcher[/b]). You’ll also be able to use The Lab [b]outside area[/b], giving you the option to [b]fully automate[/b] it or [b]manually fill it[/b] from your [b]inventory[/b]. [b]Smart targeting[/b] will also be easier, with a focus on[b] Minecraft-like[/b] simplicity in digging. You’ll be able to terraform using [b]new tools[/b]: a [b]shovel [/b]for digging, a [b]pickaxe [/b]for removing stones, an [b]axe [/b]for trees, and [b]shears [/b]for bushes. These will all be available[b] early in the game[/b], along with the [b]Uprooter Gadget[/b] (for moving trees). The [b]speed of tools[/b] and [b]area of effect[/b] will be also [b]upgradable [/b]by leveling up your [url=https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/977510/view/4454718637923632506]NPC reputation.[/url] In addition to all, terraforming will occasionally drop[b] rare resources![/b] [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38670119/245a283fd50c365ab227223f161a80d0b41ec5ea.gif[/img] [h2]New: City Hub[/h2] [b]City Hub[/b] is a new entity you can [b]build [/b]and [b]level up[/b] by completing specific requirements! You’ll get more decor as rewards for leveling up the [b]City’s Rank[/b] (or through NPC shops and world finds) instead of in the [b]Researcher[/b]. As you level up, [b]City's Hub[/b] model will also update. In the future, you’ll be able to name your[b] City Hub[/b] once it hits [b]certain rank[/b]. Leveling up will also unlock more [b]city-specific decor[/b], like a big [b]fountain[/b], [b]park[/b], [b]mill[/b], and more! We’re also moving optional quests, like [b]"Build 20 roads,"[/b] to the [b]City Hub[/b] to keep things [b]organized [/b]and [b]less overwhelming[/b]. [*]Like [b]The Lab[/b], all tech will be [b]fully automatable[/b], with the option to use everything manually as well. [*][b]Chests:[/b] [b]power [/b]won't be [b]required[/b]. In the future, we plan to add [b]filters for Chests[/b] (will work similar to Bowls), allowing players to specify exactly which resources they want Chests to pick up. [*][b]Cutscenes:[/b] almost all cutscenes (except the main ones) will be [b]skippable[/b]! Plus, in[b] co-op[/b], you'll be able to watch most cutscenes alone without distracting your friends!
