Crown of Greed and its most important feature

If you are already familiar with the Crown of Greed project, you probably know that it is... quite different from most of the games of its genre. We are sure you will agree that the vast majority of strategy games are based on selecting specific units and giving them direct commands ๐ such as repairing your structures, attacking, building or collecting resources.
In the case of our game, however, the situation is totally different. Instead of having direct control over units, players participate in the life of their kingdom as if they were a part of it, rather than an all-powerful, controlling entity. And so, you can't simply select your units, oh no. What you will get is an array of management features and options, that MAY ๐ bend the independent inhabitants of the Land of Rodovia to your will.... or not!
Heroes are waiting to be hired

The player's heroes live their own lives, making choices depending on the archetype. Some of them, for example, eagerly anticipate the upcoming battles, showing a greater inclination toward assignments focused on dismantling enemy units โ๏ธ Meanwhile, those with a curiosity about the world and a traveler's spirit are more likely to choose reconnaissance missions. Remember, that in order to manage your heroes well, you must first get to know them and understand their strengths.

Which heroes decide to visit your city is based on your choices. Will you offer them access to a forge and thus better items? To an inn, where they can rest? Or to a marketplace where they can buy a variety of useful goods? How you direct the development of your kingdom will define which heroes will offer you their services... and how they will develop. This is important because both you and the heroes want them to be as powerful as possible - a real win-win situation! The death of such an experienced, well-equipped hero is a great loss! ๐
Your first Contracts

Once you get to know your heroes and plan their path of development, it's time to send them for their first quests! You can assign them such quests using so called Contracts. While there are numerous varied missions and orders you can offer to your daring adventurers, we'll take exploring the undead-infested ruins as an example.
When you locate an undead lair, you can assign one of the available heroes to go there and... do what heroes do ๐ฅ๐ฆด To persuade the hero to cooperate, you must create a Contract and then offer the adventurer appropriate remuneration. Fortunately, they exhibit a strong desire for gold. With this in mind, flag your target and then set a fee that you are willing to pay to the hero who will take up the challenge (naturally, the higher the reward, the greater the chance that a more powerful hero will take on the task). While completing missions, adventurers gain experience points and gold. They can then spend it in your city, which keeps cash in constant circulation!
Support your heroes

When a hero goes on a mission, you don't have to stay idle and just wait for the outcome. As a powerful ruler, you can support them, for example, with powerful spells. Moreover, if one of them has become your favorite and has served your kingdom well, in some cases you will even be able to bring them back to life if they fall in a fierce battle ๐ค
The decisions you make, and wise quest planning, are crucial for your heroes to be effective and more and more powerful. You have to remember, that the Berserker archetype is much better at missions that involve attacking, while the Paladin archetype prefers defending your city from harm. The Rogue will be perfect for eliminating important, but less durable targets, and the Hunter will gladly scout the surroundings of your castle. We are sure you get the idea!
