Build 2562 Live

Starlight: Defence Command

Take the role of a Defence Commander and protect UPF assets remotely through the use of your Adaptable Nano Tablet in this immersive, PC focused Tower Defence Game. It's designed to be a tough but rewarding experience with character progression and the ability to configure towers to your own liking.

The 10th Assignment has been added to the game. This mission has quite a lot going on in it and is probably the most complex one that I have built to date. A lot of moving parts and timings to work with. There's a new common enemy unit that disables towers (called the Disrupter) and also a new boss unit that cannot be killed by your towers (called the Annihilator). Both enemy units appear in the new assignment. Lastly, I have added a new support ability for towers. You can now add the ability to draw fire to a tower so that enemies prioritise that one over any others in range. Features

Assignment 10 has been added. You have been tasked with rescuing an Originator from their home world that is under attack. Get them out of the level while being chased by an unstoppable enemy.
The last of the support abilities has been added to Blueprints. Towers now have the ability to draw fire (a bit like a tanks taunt ability in RPGs). This will mean that enemies will now prioritise this tower to shoot if one is in range.
An enemy unit called the Disrupter has been added to the game. When this unit shoots a tower, it will disable the tower it hits and those in close proximity, for a few seconds.
A boss level enemy has been added to the game. The 'Annihilator' cannot be harmed by your towers and requires other methods of slowing down to escape its pursuit.
Updates

As the dropship has become more important, its now had a slight graphical overhaul.
Some changes to the underlying engine have been made as some of the Gamemaker functions have been deprecated.
Map 10 added to the simulator for custom games.
Fixes

Fixed the tutorial mission so that if you haven't already got to mission 4, then you should still be able to test out the anti air for the purposes of the tutorial.
Fixed Mist tower particle generation errors.
Fixed Mist towers sounds that kept on playing after the tower was destroyed.
