Biomes update, new content

Train World

Become a railroad pioneer in Train World - a railway simulator that spans centuries as you design, manage, and operate your own train network. Start at the dawn of railroad technology and evolve into a complex, modern railway company.

The biomes and vegetation update cycle begins. I've updated the data structure and increased the number of biomes represented in the game. At this time changes will be minor. This first step will allow me to introduce new trees and vegetation to the biomes without map updates. Older maps will be updated with time and their appearance may change significantly. All of this will not influence previous save files. These changes will be purely visual. New trains were added in today's update:

J Class is a powerful steam locomotive that bridges the gap between Big Boy and less powerful steam locomotives in the second era
NRE 3GS is a diesel locomotive with moderate power that will be very useful in the late game for routes that do not have a lot of cargo capacity
ACS 64 is a powerful electric locomotive that has been requested for some time now and will be equally useful for passenger and freight operations
Avelia Liberty will be the pinnacle of the US train tree. With a maximum speed of 350 km/h, this train brings the US into the era of high-speed trains
Today's update also has one new map. Aurelia Atoll has an exciting donut-like shape with 2 ports. I hope this will be a welcome addition, especially for people who like to play on the smaller maps. In recent weeks, I focused on quality-of-life features, improvements to existing functionality, bug fixes, and adding requested features. Here is a list of some of the changes:

Reputation reworked
Updated signals placement logic
Replace panel wagon/locomotive selection logic updated
Improved parallel rail construction
Improved Load panel opening speed
Improved Load panel opening speed
New Game UI reworked
Alco PA/PB locomotives were replaced with EMD F7 A/B
Added ability to assign color groups to trains
Added floating text on maintenance and delivery payments
Follow camera movement logic updated
A lot of bug fixes
As for the future, Iโ€™ll continue working on biome updates, address train placement quirks (trains jump sometimes), and implement new features and content Thank you for your interest in the project and your support.
