Let Him Cook is a top-down action roguelite where you play as a food industry professional fighting in bullet hell's kitchen. When food fights back, you gotta cook. Jam to the music, hire assistants, and face against all kinds of live food puns!
Hey everyone, happy 4th! I hope everyone has been enjoying Let Him Cook so far! It's been an incredible first few weeks already and I'm ready to cook up the game even more. We are getting ready to release our first real update since Early Access with lots of QOL changes and tweaks, especially for controller players:
- NEW Button shortcuts for controller and keyboard, reducing the constant button UI navigation by tenfold.
- NEW Weapons that replace (not combine) other weapons of a lower rarity now auto-refunds your money back!
-NEW Manage tab: you now have the ability to quick swap all weapons in one succession!
-Huge optimization improvements across the board, benchmarked at 60fps+ with hundreds of bullets on your screen
-Increased the enemy spawn cap from 75 to 100 due to optimization
-Enemy projectiles visual revamp for improved clarity
-Buying weapons creates a slight new visual
-Upcoming waves visual revamp
-More UI navigation polish
-Let Him Cook new visual logo
-Cook book descriptions updated
Buffs:
Corkscrew has extremely low cooldowns (0.5s to 0.1s)
Bumped up food critic's fire assistant passive (12% to 15%)
Bugs:
Fixed a major bug where sometimes the player does not receive damage from enemies
Fixed corkscrew and hot crossbow reload
Fixed utensil and gunsmith assistant high rarity weapon bug
Fixed settings bug where text disappears (localization error)
Hopefully these QOL changes will improve your overall experience with the game. We have lots of content lined up for you all later this Summer. Thanks for all the support and feedback! Enjoy your holiday and keep it up chefs!
