and a happy new year!
Phew, 1 year is a long time. It has been a hectic year and unfortunately we haven't had time to work as much as we wanted. A lot of stuff was delayed and sometimes we were too silent about it, sorry!
Even today should have been a relatively large patch we have been trying to finish.
We have a lot of ideas and unfortunately the game didn't go as well as we hoped. We still intend to finish most of our ideas but in a lesser capacity. Over the next months (no specifics ːsteamhappyː) we will release updates featuring some of the tweaks and changes we have been working on:

[*]New map progression system: portals
[*]Re-worked items and weapons, bigger upgrades at level 4 and 8
[*]Remove diskette unlock shop in favor of a "star" system, earn stars and unlock new stuff
[*]Unique vehicle traits which can be unlocked for other vehicles by getting three (tbd) stars
[*]New enemy behaviours for each biome, including a skirmisher behaviour that should spice up ranged enemies
[*]A few weapons that have been planned for some time, including "black hole"
[*]A few items, such as "viking helmet"
[*]Reworked boss fight and maybe even a new boss

[h2]Next Patch 0.9[/h2]
Coming very soon, hopefully days and not [i]weeks[/i], is patch 0.9 where the main feature is the new map progression system.
In short, at the 5 and 10 minute marker, you must select between different random portals. Each portal leads to a different biome which has unique enemies and sometimes obstacles. Furthermore, each portal gives a boon and a bane (not pictured), making the choice not as simple.

With this change we also made per biome unique enemy lists and new enemies, making each biome feel different and varied. A lot of enemies were also somewhat rebalanced. A few existing enemies have had their final behaviours added, such as a radar "summoning" or flags "buffing".
Originally intended as a halloween update, this patch also includes the "spooky" biome with new enemies such as the coffin or toy robot.

Patch 0.X: Weapon and Item revamp + some new weapons and items
Patch 0.X: Unique vehicle traits and vehicle revamp
In between these specific patches we have plans for new enemies, weapons and items but not specifically assigned to any patch.
Following this will be 1.0 which will include a decent chunk of content, we will try and make a final push around this time to see if the game can gain some traction. This will be used to determine the game's future.
