Hi everyone,
It's been 1 month since Echo Point Nova launched so I thought it was time for a check-in about post-launch content! I've had some time to chat with the community and ponder things. Here is what I plan for the near future:
Steam Workshop Support For Custom Levels
My goal is for the levels you download to implement seamlessly into the overworld, so every level you download finds some space in the open world to exist, and you can surf and grapple your way there like any other island in the base game!
Progression and item hunting is an important part of Echo Point Nova, and I'd like that to carry over to workshop maps. My idea is that level makers can place down "Workshop Orbs" which will behave a lot of like agility orbs but allow the player to unlock new cosmetics. Completing scans on workshop levels could also work towards this.
By the way, on the Discord we have some people already working on levels and testing beta Workshop support, here's some screens!

Thanks to Fug and Positato for the custom levels! My goal is to launch workshop support sometime Q4 2024.
New Game Plus
Echo Point Nova is very much a sandbox game so I think there is a lot of potential for infinite replay-ability. My idea for New Game Plus is a very customizable game mode where you will have a bunch of options to choose from, here's some random ideas I'm considering:

Carry over weapons, perks, and/or health from previous save

Randomize starting spawn location.

Randomize artifact locations.

Buffed enemy difficulty and/or count.

Randomize perk, weapon, and hat locations.

Randomize bonus scan conditions.
So the idea is, after you complete the game, you can start over and have some choice in exactly how your second playthrough is different. I think this, combined with workshop support, should give the game some serious replayability.
If you've read this far I greatly appreciate it! And please leave a review for the game! We are bouncing between 99% and 98% positive now and I'd love to make our 99% status more solid.
As for other random news, the OST is currently under review by Valve and should be ready for release very soon!
Thanks for reading,
Matt
