Meowllo!
It's here...pity system for Snacko drops. Are you tired of farming for a rare item over and over again? Flipping the coin 1,000 times just to get unlucky?
We tested our drop rates, and statistically, they were working. But boy does it feel terrible to lose out on apples and gems after grinding all day.
So recursive implemented a pity system. Or bad luck protection, if you don't play gacha games.
If you're going for a rare item over and over again, it will slowly become more common until you get it, and then the drop rates reset.
As for the quests...
Is it confusing if you've went through the Carpenter's Guild quests quickly, then was asked for glass before you've even unlocked the area to get the Cobalt you needed?
...Yeah.
I've done some quest clean up to help the quest board feel less cluttered right off the bat.
D.I.Why was also a product of it's time: back when we didn't have an easy way to create multiple quests, so it just taught you like...40 things. We've now moved them off into separate quests that are new. If you already have these items unlocked, it's okay! You can still do them.
β¨ New Quests
- Light It Up teaches torches
- Better Than a Bed teaches Sleeping Box
- Back to Plain teaches Original Dye
- Someone's Garbage... teaches the debris crafting recipes from D.I.Why
π¬ Quest Changes
- Way of the Weapons I (teaches sword) now available after Them Apples to learn early on
- Fool Me Once, Modern Taste, Tropical Getaway, Mushroom Mayhem, Vintage Variety now require you to unlock the biomes with the materials required before the quests appear
- Sow What III now requires Iva's quest Negotiation Tactics to be completed since it requires Spinach
- Just a Hobby III now requires Sow What II since it requires Wheat
- D.I.Why now teaches the recipes on reward claim like Fishing for Compliments to be less confusing
- Fixed Tameem's Troubles not completing properly when delivering Glue (in the back end, it was asking for glass...)
Moving forward, you'll see more changes like this slowly as we try to reduce the bulk of 100 quests being added to your board at once, while keeping in mind the frustration that can happen if things are locked behind too far into mid-late game.
Thank you very much for playing~
