A Word from the Developer
As we wrap up the year, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported Card Engine since its Early Access launch in May, and to everyone who joined us along the way.
When I hit the big green launch button, I braced for the very real possibility of getting lost in the flood of new releases. Yet here we are, and I couldn’t be more grateful. While it is not a major success by any means, and despite some criticism that it can't do X and Y, seeing people engage with and believe in this project has been incredibly motivating, reinforcing my commitment to keep pushing forward and holding onto the hope of a more successful full release.
Since May, regular updates have brought new features and improvements on a roughly monthly schedule. Looking ahead to 2025, my commitment remains steadfast: refining, expanding, and ensuring Card Engine evolves to meet—and hopefully exceed expectations.
The Roadmap
While a full release isn’t planned any time soon, I’m hoping for late 2025, but only if Card Engine is ready for a full release by then. In the meantime, you can stay up-to-date with the roadmap on the Steam forums. It outlines ongoing developments, exploratory ideas, and the notable features added so far.
