Your comments gave us the perspective we needed to rework the game. We’ll keep listening to your voices throughout Early Access and we’ll continue refining Wizard of Legend 2 based on your experiences. Share your thoughts and help us make the most of this period to produce the best game possible. Our New Narrative Direction After listening to your feedback at SteamNextFest, we have overhauled the narrative completely. You now play as a single wizard rather than a parade of randomly generated wizards. We’ve built a basic narrative framework for the version you’re playing now—just enough to give the game some context—but we haven’t dived deep into storytelling yet. Our plan is to gradually expand the story through monthly updates, where we’ll explore the exciting journey of the wizards in the Trials of Legend. More news on the rivalries, friendships, and conflicts you’ll find on the road to becoming the Wizard of Legend will be coming soon! We have significantly reduced the commentary and changed the tone and style of it according to the wishes of our players. And yes, we brought back the Elemental Boss puns—you asked, and we listened! Let us know if the new balance of humor, mentorship, and character-specific banter fits your expectations. First, we’ve added a ton quality of life updates that all our fans should appreciate. We revamped the progression system to make it even more rewarding for both casual and hardcore players. The core structure of this system is in the game and we look forward to refining it based on your feedback. Exploration should make more sense now. We wanted to see more players enjoy exploring the trials, so we added a map, a mini-map, and larger levels. The result should make it easier to venture through the biomes. However, be warned: we also tweaked enemy behaviors and made the game slightly more difficult. Breezing through the demo does not guarantee you an easy time here. As requested, we’ve added in customization. Wizard of Legend 2 now features a treasure trove of cloaks, symbols, and masks for you to wear. And we’ve also added in a new medallion system that affects gameplay, just like the outfits in the first game. In fact, we updated the game’s music entirely to better match the feel of the trials and world. Delving through the trials to the new soundtrack will be a magical experience. We also updated the hub layout to make its functions more visible and provided some general improvements. Hopefully, you’ll have a good time navigating the Trials Mansion. We also heard your feedback about dash Arcana and are currently considering whether it’s feasible to add them in. We can’t wait to see where you take Wizard of Legend 2 with your feedback! Take care, Dead Mage
