Clockwork Calamity in Mushroom World: What would you do if the time stopped ticking?
A gentle exploration platformer in a vast yet small world where time has stopped, what will happen?
Hello everyone. There is an update with two bug fixes. The new version should download automatically unless you have updates disabled on Steam or something like that
Museum Heist Crash Bug
Some items didn't have their "trade data" defined properly, and would cause a game crash if you tried to steal them from the museum. I think the only items with this problem were the dice, and the hints. Both are fixed now and you should be able to steal whatever you want from the museum.
Item Pickup Bug
There was a bug where if an NPC perfectly overlaps an item, it might become impossible to pick up the item. This rarely happens, but is potentially pretty bad!
I fixed it by giving items priority over NPCs. If you are touching an item you will always have the prompt to pick up the item, even if you are also touching an NPC.
This made me worry about some kind of scenario where you can no longer interact with an NPC because they're covered with items. I don't think this can actually happen, because you can just put the items in your bag, or throw them out of the way if they're too large. However, just in case, I added a secret failsafe:
If you hold the "Open/Close Bag" button for over one second, you'll ignore items and only get prompts for NPC interaction. So you can interact with a buried NPC by opening your bag with the button, then pressing and holding the button.
This is obviously not intuitive, and it's not explained anywhere in the game. It's just there so I can tell people about it if they get stuck (which hopefully won't be possible).
