All the divisions are updated to take advantage of the successor’s game mechanics and experience, bringing a host of new units, new Aces, art, and more. The latest expansion will let players take the divisions solo, online, or cooperatively. Covering the Normandy campaign in 1944 from D-Day, June 6th, to the Liberation of Paris on August 25th, [b]Steel Division 2: Tribute to Normandy '44[/b] is a long-requested community expansion. It features the Allied veterans of the U.S. [b]1st Infantry Division[/b], the famous [b]101st Airborne Division[/b], and the [b]4th Armored Division[/b]. The Commonwealth forces bring the elite British [b]Guards Armoured Division[/b], the [b]7th Armoured Division “Desert Rats”[/b], and the [b]4th Canadian Armoured Division[/b]. The French commandos from [b]Demi-Brigade SAS[/b] wreak havoc in the enemy’s rear. The Axis divisions include the [b]2. Panzerdivision[/b], the feared [b]9. Panzerdivision[/b], the dreaded [b]1. SS-Panzerdivision "LSSAH"[/b], the [b]16. Luftwaffe-Feld-Division[/b], ad-hoc [b]Festung Groß-Paris[/b], the [b]91. Luftlande-Division[/b], and the defenders of the [b]716. Infanterie-Division[/b]. Such as the [b]Marder I auf 39H(f)[/b] tank destroyer, [b]Flak 41 88mm[/b] AA gun, [b]NAG 4500 Drilling[/b] heavy anti-air truck, the Canadian [b]Wallaby[/b] heavy APC and [b]Otter[/b] armored car. Aircraft include the American [b]A-20G[/b] and [b]B-25C[/b] bombers, as well as the unique [b]Rosie the Rocketeer[/b] bazooka-equipped Piper Cub conversion. New infantry models include 101st Airborne's famous [b]Filthy Thirteen[/b] raiders, French [b]SAS[/b], and the Vichy-aligned [b]Miliciens[/b] collaborationists.
