New units join the battle!
Monceaux get the priest, and a fitting new structure:
Church: a structure that heals nearby allies and buffs their attack speed. It can also train priests.
Priest: a support unit that can't attack but heals nearby allies and buffs their attack speed.
Fahad get the Cactus guru at the Nomad Camps level 2:
Cactus guru: a ranged unit that needles and cactuses that block enemies and deal damage. (Note: The Cactus Guru can only be played against when playing against the Fahad after finishing mission#3 in the campaign. The Fahad faction will be available for play on release early this year.)
Unit updates:
This patch also includes various updates to unit pathfinding and auto-targeting, making it less likely for units to be ambushed while traveling and improving their responsiveness to your input.
There's also a huge update on how enemies use their troops. They now assemble armies just like you that move in formations and attack together. There are still some quirks to be resolved around this new feature, so let me know how this works for you!
Screen resolutions:
You can now switch between fullscreen and windowed mode and adjust the window to your liking, this works for most standard sizes.
Difficulty:
Some missions were too hard to beat for new players. I'd like new players to have a nice time with Easy difficulty and not face too much pushback while providing a complex challenge for more experienced players playing on Hard difficulty.
- Difficulty has been adjusted for the first 3 campaign missions, mainly Easy but also Normal is more forgiving now. This will be continued at further levels, which will be available soon!
- General difficulty has been tweaked for the Battle mode. Easy now plays even more casually, while Insane provides more challenge than before.
As always, let me know what you think, and happy clashing!
