The Lost Island

After an emergency landing with a space capsule you wake up alone (?) on an unknown abandoned planet. Without knowing where you are. To survive you will have to find food, craft items, harvest, build a shelter and keep the fire lit.

It was a big step forward to invest a little more time. You may ask why ? We had to make the game completely new from scratch. Things got better. But we have a lot bugs. But the good part about that is that we finished the main part of the game and future updates won't take so long until they get released. That means until we release 1.5 as full version there will be many updates. So if you don't want to update automatically always 2 -4 GB you should turn off automatic updates for this game. [u][/u] [u][KEY BINDINGS][/u] [u]W A S D - Movement[/u] [u]SPACE - Jump[/u] [u]TAB - Inventory[/u] [u]C - Crafting Menu[/u] [u]Left ALT - Toggle Between show Mouse.[/u] [u]Escape - Opens the Escape Menu[/u] [u]Left Mouse Button ( LMB ) - Fire/Chop/etc..[/u] [u]Right Mouse Button ( RMB ) - Toggle Build Menu/etc.[/u] [u]E - Use Items / Doors / etc.[/u] [u]R - Reload[/u] [u][/u] [u][FAQ]:[/u] [u]We want trading cards![/u] [u]Yeah yeah... We know. We are on it. We had so much work todo that it was nearly impossible to work on it. But we submitted them to steam and we still have to make some changes to the trading cards until valve accepts them.[/u] [u][/u] [u]Achievements what's wrong with them?[/u] [u]At the moment only a few are build inside and we are not sure if they work properly in the new version of The Lost Island.[/u] [u][/u] [u]Why Preview Version of Update 1.5?[/u] [u]It's easy. We [/u][u]don't[/u][u] want to let you wait anymore and show the progress of The Lost Island :)[/u] [u][/u] [u]Don't hate us if something doesn't work on your PC right.[/u] [u]We know some people writing to us we are doing scam and stuff like that because the [/u][u]quality[/u][u] of the game doesn't look like as on our hardware or isn't running so good as by us. We did a lot in the update to let customer see more detail in levels.[/u] [u][/u] [u]All in all this is a preview let us know about bugs or massive problems.[/u] [u][/u] [u][Known Bugs]:[/u] [u]Connection to Master Server sometimes fails.[/u] [u]Long Loading Times.[/u] [u]Not moving AI (sometimes).[/u] [u]Massive Lag on spawn. ( Gets away after a minute. Maybe it's longer if you have a toaster as PC. )[/u] [u]Cursor Bug : Can be fixed by pressing ALT and Left Mouse Button in the window.[/u] [u]On non Multiplayer Sessions the Authority has some bugs with the Inventory. ( Not hardcore bugs. Will still work normally )[/u] [u]Item Spawns ( Some locations doesn't have loot for some reason ) (sometimes)[/u] [u]Weird Footstep Sound Bug in Multiplayer. ( Possible due lags. Sounds getting spawned on server)[/u] [u][/u] [u][CHANGE LIST][/u] [u]So what is new in The Lost Island?[/u] [u]Core Changes:[/u] [u]- Game Code is now [/u][u]completely[/u][u] written in C++ and uses Blueprint Parent Classes.[/u] [u]- TrueSky[/u] [u]- New Inventory System.[/u] [u]- New Equipment System.[/u] [u]- New Loot System.[/u] [u]- 3rd Person Character and 1st Person Hands.[/u] [u]- Net code Changes : 70% of functions are running now on [/u][u]server side[/u][u].[/u] [u]- Client Animations got reworked. [/u] [u]- Harvest System is [/u][u]completely[/u][u] reworked. You can chop wood now to 500 a stack.[/u] [u]- Quick Crafting got implemented.[/u] [u]- Crafting Menu got reworked. No workbench needed at the moment.[/u] [u]- Main Menu got reworked.[/u] [u]- Options Menu - Added more video option.[/u] [u]- Steam SDK updated.[/u] [u]- Second DRM Implemented for banning emulated steam clients. Checking if steam access is original.[/u] [u]- Dedicated Server implementation with Normal & Offical Server got implemented.[/u] [u]- 2 AIs : ( "Deer", "Crazy Shooting Guy") got added. One is friendly, one is an enemy.[/u] [u]- You can now get raw deer flesh and cook in on a campfire.[/u] [u]- Building Menu for building got added. ( "Right Click with the Hammer").[/u] [u]- Fixed the Inventory System[/u] [u]- Debug Monitor got added.[/u] [u]- Building Plot got added.[/u] [u]- 8 Random Characters on Spawn implemented. [/u] [u]And many more. It's to much to list. I mean the game is [/u][u]completely[/u][u] new....[/u] [u][/u] [u]Planned for next Update ( 1.5 Preview 9 ):[/u] [u]- Upgradable Bases.[/u] [u]- Way more Items.[/u] [u]- New Achievements.[/u] [u]- [/u][u]Furnace[/u][u].[/u] [u]- Storages.[/u] [u]- Fixed Item Spawns.[/u] [u]- More Locations.[/u] [u][/u] [u]Planned for 1.6:[/u] [u]- Finally a Story with awesome shit we wrote already on paper.[/u] [u]All in all we need some massive sleep now after this work.
