Hello again!
Sorry for the long silence, but we've got a handful of work with this one :D We're getting closer and closer to something playable. Most of gameplay's mechanics are alive and kicking. Now we are doing some refactors, lots of scripting, and even more putting stuff together, to make the best game possible.
What's new
New level: Detention Center This is most likely where you'll meet your clients and have a little chat with them. New level: DA's office (WIP) Inventory A simple inventory system for each playable character, to store some gameplay related items, like pass cards, or keys. + Integration with dialogue system Optimization We managed to get rid of some bottlenecks in game's performance, and speed loading times up a little. Game progression system finished System that keeps track of player's doings, and what should happen next. Looks pretty decent. Motion capture testing First tests of the mocap system look good so far. We have to introduce retargeting into our pipeline, but it also shows promising results in the current state. Dialogue and gameplay scripting We are also scripting dialogues, sequences, and game progression at this stage. Assets Our design team is polishing the levels, and in the same time working on characters, and props.
Mechanics
We're constantly adding new mechanics to the game, and trying to put together the best possible mix. In this stage also some balancing takes place, as we're trying to figure out which elements should be emphasized to give players the most "lawyer" feel. Generally speaking, there's a lot of putting stuff together and checking if it fits and feels properly :D
Stay tuned
Stay tuned folks. We should have some sneak peaks of the gameplay in the nearby future :) Cheers
