Gutwhale is a roguelite about managing the space between you and your ammo, while fighting your way through a digestive system!
Heyo!
Gutwhale has released and it has been amazing!
Thank you to everyone who played it, we are really happy that you seem to enjoy it and thank you so much for your 100% positive ratings :O
We have recieved a lot of feedback and after sifting through all of it, i am proud to present the roadmap for my continued work on Gutwhale!
First, I am going to polish the current version up:
- I am going to fix many of the little bugs and exploits that do not break the game but are a bit annoying.
- I am going to fix some small issues related to the games saving system
- I am going to rework the endgame content, so that it has more features for people who have beaten the complete game and are now competing for highscores and speedruns!

Then, I am going to attempt some backend coding things
- I will try my best to add steam achievements to Gutwhale
- I will research this one weird controller issue where new Xbox controllers do not get recognised by the game
- I will try to get Linux and Mac version running on Steam

Eventually, we will look into making new content for Gutwhale!
Some of you have beaten the game much, much faster than we anticipated and we want to add some hard challenges for you!
Right now I am thinkign about adding a Loop-System, where you can restart a run, but keep your score!
There might also be a way to create one infinitely long level, but I will have to look into that :)
And maybe we could add the bossfight that was cut for time back into Gutwhale?
If you have any suggestions for hard endgame content, please do not be shy and just tell us :)
While doing all of this, I will spend half of my time on marketing Gutwhale. I am going to go on some podcasts and streams and send a lot of emails!
We are also going to finally publish the development logs, as well as a video about how the game evolved visually!
If you have any questions, requests or want to report any bugs, please let us know on the discussion page!
And again, thank you all so much for playing our little game :))
cheers,
josh
