Hello, World!
It’s the first thing we’d like to print.
Looks like our first code, that we can see on the Steam page. However, it’s our first strokes on this page indeed. And all our team likes to welcome everybody here!
First of all, we want to say:
""Thank you all for downloading and installing the demo of Step Into The Dark! (SITD)"
There were a lot of feedback we already received. Thank you very much for that! Your feedback and support inspire us to make the game much better!
Now we try our best to take into account your suggestions, comments and impressions. We do much to improve the experience that you can gain in our game. And we hope, you could find some cool things for yourself in our little world.
As many people could see, we have already done a lot of work. To date, we have released several patches that improve the game and take into account some of your feedback. And we will continue to improve the demo until we reach the planned results. Our approach may seem unconventional - we're tweaking the demo version as if it were a real release. But we all are OK, don't worry. It's because for us demo is like a real release - it's our first project, and we definitely want to give it all that we can. This is all for your, friends. I will give you all the details of the patches at the end of the text.
Right now, I will tell you about our future plans.
Today we are finishing another one patch, that contains some cool innovations that I won't talk about yet. And it’s not the last one. You will see everything in the near future. Just stay tuned - we will announce everything here! And it is not the last one patch! Be ready!
You may have also noticed that we've changed the release date to Q4 2026. That's right. It was a really big and even brave decision for us. There are а several reasons for this. First, we will move to Unreal Engine 5 (Now, it’s 4). Second, we got some financials offers, that make us believe we will able to do SITD better. We a planning to go to the whole product cycle in the incoming year. So, we want to realize much bigger & beautiful world, than you can see it today. We want you to enjoy our work, so we make this big decision. We hope it is good news for you.
Today, we a really small team. But we really in love with making games. Hope you'll follow our progress. We're not saying goodbye. Light Stone Games at your service!
Oh, yeah… Wish you a Happy New Year!
