Right now, the early portion of the game is going through QA to ensure it's properly stable for testers. The good thing about QA is that they break your game in ways you wouldn't think to try yourself ("If you equip and unequip a hammer at the crafting station on this map during a thunderstorm and then open and close the menu twice, the game freezes."), so as busy as we are with fixing everything, we know it's going to be worth it.

A lot of our time right now is also going into trying to balance the game, which is always tricky for a roguelite. While you expect players are going to die (and death is of course part of the game's core loop), trying to ensure that the experience never feels unfair or unreasonable is still a challenge. We're tweaking enemy health and damage values, and also loot drops so you have a better chance of finding a more powerful weapon from time to time.

As we've mentioned before, a lot of the game is currently playable and will be ready for our testers in a few weeks. We're working on the latter half of the game currently, which includes two big new areas (each with an assortment of randomized maps to visit, so you'll see something different with subsequent playthroughs), and of course, the finale of the game. Here's a peek at one of the new places; we're calling it the Sunken City.

In addition to new locations, we're also working on new enemy types, mutations, and more. It's a lot of work, but all the comments and messages we get, both from newcomers and those who grew up playing our games, are incredibly motivating.
