SFXEngine is powerful sound effect creation software for Windows, designed to for the creation of sound effects in a modular way. Using a plug-in based synthesis system, you can use SFXEngine to quickly and easily create any sound, or add audio effects to existing sounds.
A new update to SFXEngine is now live. Lots of interesting changes here:
-Automatic resampling of samples to allow seamless loading of non-44100hz samples.
-Silence (zerosample) level and length now settable via the Project Menu to allow dynamic changes, inc. enable/disable.
-Fix to the linear sample interpolation, added cubic Hermite interpolation, and interpolation settings added to the Sample Menu.
One big change it that the demo now includes all DLC and DLC examples to demonstrate these important effects. In the demo, DLC engines are brown and labelled "(DLC)" to clearly differentiate them from the basic engines.
-Better dynamic resizing of sound list, engine list, environment list as used in Argus.
-The start of unlinking the system to 44100hz. A new start-up procedure and background options to unify the system to a potential new rate.
-Unified WAVEFORMAT structures, default buffer size set to 32768, and lots of other smaller changes.
