New Features
On roster breakdowns, you can right-click on a position to display a list of which players you have at that position.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug that caused successful coaches to be fired without just cause.
- Fixed an issue where several field goal kicking stats were not displayed accurately in stat tables. The affected fields were for range stats, for example, field goal kicking from 40+ yds.
- Fixed an issue on the Trade screen where your team's cap space was not being updated accurately after completing a trade. Also, placed a limit on how many players and draft picks can be included in one trade.
- Fixed an issue in the AI trade offer logic, where in certain conditions a team would end up trading for the same player twice in one trade. This would result in the player appearing on the roster twice.
- Fixed bugs in how stats were being stored for players and coaches that were inducted into the Hall of Fame. This was sometimes causing issues displaying their career stats.
- Fixed issues displaying how many years of experience a player has.
Game Engine Updates
- There was a significant update to player salary amounts. The salaries that players earn is now much closer to real-life professional salaries. Previously, backups were making far too much, and good players were not making enough. Contract structures have been reworked from the ground up, and have been modeled to reflect modern professional leagues.
- The league salary cap was increased to reflect 2024 professional leagues.
- Rival teams now manage their rosters with more intelligence. As they draft players, sign free agents, build trades, and release players. they now account for additional factors in their current roster and will forecast their future team needs. This results in more competitive AI teams.
UI Improvements
- The UI for starting a new game has been fully re-done, and includes more instructional text to help get your new coaching career started.
- Many screens have been updated to use improved data tables. The improvements allow for sorting by any column, tooltips on column headers, alternating rows of color for easier scanning, and consistent cell spacing.
- Tables of data will now display a fallback message when there is nothing to show, instead of displaying just an empty table.
- Added a new table for displaying a player's career contract history.
- On the playoffs screen, added a label to display which conference is which on the playoff tree.
- Reworked to main season screen to reduce clutter and improve the look and feel of the game display.
- A lot of small UI tweaks in other places...but we've covered some of the highlights.
Thank you for your continued support! We hope to release another update soon with even more improvements and new features!
