We continue with our [i]Road to Launch[/i] series - giving you this week an insight on [i]HOW[/i] exactly we listened to [b]Community Feedback[/b] (you!) to build โจ Songs of Silence. โจ
Yes, that's right! An [b]DIRECT INSIGHT[/b] into Game Development. ๐ ๏ธ
Full disclaimer - what we're about to show might seem "cryptic" at first ๐ค But it makes sense.
Also - This does [u]NOT[/u] take into account bug reports. ๐ We could (should?) make a dedicate news on that one.
[h2]๐ Trust the Process ๐[/h2]
Before addressing anything, our team needed a CLEAR PROCESS.

This is taken from our internal Miro board. We used it [u]before[/u] going into Early Access to define how we would channel Community Feedback.

[*] [b]Collection[/b] - Offer spaces where people can post and express their opinions ๐ญ
[*] [b]Consolidation[/b] - Once or twice a week, feedback is agregated into a single Excel Sheet ๐
[*] [b]Decision[/b] - The sheet is reviewed by a leadership commitee, to align on priorities โ๏ธ
[*] [b]Implementation[/b] - Tickets in JIRA (game dev tool) are created to track & address priorities ๐ซ

Players need [i]a space[/i] to express themselves! Say what they [b]like[/b] ๐ค or [b]don't like[/b]. ๐ตโ๐ซ

We chose to focus on 3 SPACES.

Through these 3 spaces, we received close to [b]200 pieces of [u]UNIQUE[/u] feedback[/b]. ๐ฑ This doesn't take into account whether people agreed or not with what others were saying.
Long story short - We receive [i]A LOT[/i] of highly pertinent feedback. Much food for thought! ๐

All this feedback needed to be โก๏ธ[b]aggregated in [u]1 place[/u][/b]โฌ ๏ธ.
Time for things to become very corporate. ๐ผ We used a good ol' Excel sheet.

Sadly I don't have any pictures to share with you here... ๐
But in a nutshell, we gathered once a week (more in the first days of Early Access) to discuss what the ๐ฅ [b]HOT[/b] ๐ฅ topics were in the different spaces.
We'd then decide on what to tackle first, based on the following questions - in that priority. ๐

[*] [b]How bad[/b] is it impacting players?
[*] [b]How often[/b] does it happen?
[*] [b]How difficult[/b] is it to fix?

This then determines - in a very [i]unemotional[/i] manner - what we tackle first.

Alright, we all agree on what we must do! ๐ค Now comes the fun part.

We log the tasks into our tracking software as tickets ๐ซ and off the Devs go!
A few weeks later, out come the fixes, content or features. Hot like a fresh load of bread. ๐ฅ
And everybody is happy. ๐ฅณ ([i]at least in theory hehe[/i])
