Hello Rippers!

Playtest is Live!
I’m excited to announce that the RippleFX Playtest is live now and will run 2 weeks until September 10. This playtest is all about testing how the visualizer reacts to music across different PC setups. Since audio drivers, equalizers, and hardware configurations can impact how the visualizer responds to various frequencies. Join the playtest now on the RippleFX Steam page and help me shape the future of RippleFX.
What I’ve Been Working On These Past Few Months:
Added auto audio sensitivity, which adjusts the visualizer’s responsiveness based on the loudness of your music. Added a performance fallback system that reduces the maximum number of particles if the FPS drops below 45. The lower the FPS, the fewer particles are spawned—no more freezes or crashes! Made radial visualizer but still ironing out some issues. I really like how it turned out, here is a short preview: Drastically improved performance and fixed an issue where FPS would degrade over time until unusable. Added a main menu. Lots of testing and refining to make everything smoother.
Things I am Planning to Add but Don't Promise I Will :D
Currently working on a save system and presets. Custom audio sensitivity settings for each emitter. More customization options. Local music player FSR frame generation. A less demanding 2D visualizer. A tutorial.
Known Issues/Bugs:
Hz ranges are interactable but don’t do anything yet. Performance drops at the start when loading particles into VRAM. When switching from MIC to WAC, you might need to wait a bit or manually increase the audio sensitivity to get it going. I’d love your input on what features or changes you’d like to see next—let me know your thoughts! Since you made it to the end, here’s a secret DEV tech: you can use NUM2 to test the radial visualizer and NUM1 to switch back, but it doesn’t save and resets every time you use the shortcut. Sorry for the long time between updates, sometimes life happens, sometimes work happens :D
