【Resource of Niraya】A Short Trip for Authentic Sound

Niraya of ■■

"Niraya of ■■""Niraya of ■■" is a Japanese horror game inspired by the Buddhist beliefs. The game focuses on a unique system where players "avoid" the attacks of various monsters. This, combined with the fear of exploring eerie environments and solving puzzles, is a major draw of the game.

At "Niraya of ■■", we pride ourselves on recording our own sounds. It's a small quirk of ours. While the quality of the sound may vary, we believe that using authentic sounds, rather than pre-purchased mismatched assets, creates a more convincing atmosphere. [previewyoutube=PS6PFEkhkEY;full][/previewyoutube] There have been times when we've taken this to the extreme. For example, when one area in our game featured a waterfall, we decided to record the sound of an actual waterfall. Our enthusiasm led us to hike up a small mountain for an hour, just to capture the sound. It's now a fond memory. It was April, and birds were chirping in the distance—beautiful but not ideal for capturing the waterfall and river sounds. We spent about an hour adjusting the microphone angle to minimize interference and get the best recording. The video we're sharing today features the sound we recorded, which takes center stage. Feel free to use it as you'd like. To give you a sense of the atmosphere during the recording, enjoy the slideshow of photos we took during the trip. (Oddly enough, we forgot to take any pictures of the waterfall!)
