Report: February 2022 ๐Ÿ—’๏ธ

Hey everybody! How have you been? Here, I've been working full time on Out of Bounds! And since almost two entire month have passed since the start of this 2022, I wanted to tell you about some of the progress ๐Ÿค“ First of all, have you seen the [url=https://twitter.com/TobiasRusjan/status/1495890931127574531]new logo[/url]? What are your thoughts? It was designed by [url=https://www.instagram.com/scuzzostuff/]Claudio "Scuzzo" Sagrera[/url], the same talented artist who did our logos for [url=http://saibotstudios.com/]Saibot[/url] and [url=http://hellboundgame.com/]Hellbound[/url]. Alright, let's begin... I'm going to put some images and animated GIFs together with information and also links to posts I did on [url=https://twitter.com/TobiasRusjan]my Twitter account[/url], in case you want to know more about it ๐Ÿ‘ [h2]Menus, configurations and guides ๐Ÿ“บ[/h2] Let's start with the "boring part", a very important though. I've been implementing and creating all the options screens and game configurations. I first did a [url=https://twitter.com/TobiasRusjan/status/1481372734663888906]base structure[/url] with a "programming" visual style: [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/41350906/96ccd9d9b3bb564aca50efa0b97e286907c8c395.png[/img] Built the entire options system with load and save features (by far, it was the toughest part to do): [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/41350906/65b1a0389fcb85af70ae7e990aebb561b9ded3d1.png[/img] Added the [url=https://twitter.com/TobiasRusjan/status/1481638361760624645]credits[/url] as if it was a Command Prompt from Windows. Created a short [url=https://twitter.com/TobiasRusjan/status/1483933950137540608]introduction with the logos[/url], put some music and sound effects. Integrated a simple [url=https://twitter.com/TobiasRusjan/status/1496957543880753153]guide/tutorial monitor with instructions[/url] to start playing, which doesn't stop the player inputs (you can avoid it entirely). And added [url=https://twitter.com/TobiasRusjan/status/1491478826672660483]full controller support (Gamepad)[/url], and it can be customized from the options menu: sensibility, buttons, vibration and more ๐ŸŽฎ [h2]New enemy "Plany" ๐Ÿ›ฉ๏ธ[/h2] I wanted to add some hazards to the Graphics area, so I decided to include a new [url=https://twitter.com/TobiasRusjan/status/1488711895402139651]flying enemy[/url] that shoots rays to the ground avoiding the player to easily interact with the depot: [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/41350906/479f681f30d34a5b5db90b8df972e2aa3fb2bece.png[/img] Same as the main character, the visual design of the "Plany" was made by the great artist and friend of mine [url=https://www.facebook.com/ViktorAhmedART/]Viktor Ahmed[/url] ๐Ÿ‘Œ [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/41350906/8eadaceffae5ded812c92f00e8d3b62aeb0baf34.gif[/img] [h2]"Sound tests" ๐Ÿ”Š[/h2] There was a very important feature missing in the Audio area when you complete the depot and press the Play button โ–ถ๏ธ See and (most importantly) listen to what happens now: [list] [*] [url=https://twitter.com/TobiasRusjan/status/1493599578473615365]Low pitch check[/url] [*] [url=https://twitter.com/TobiasRusjan/status/1494016851310960640]High pitch check[/url] [/list] [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/41350906/83b29093ee2cc8870424042c84245e80da9f5ac6.png[/img] Bouth music and sound effects, but also the game time (speed), change drastically with this new feature (affecting the player movement and gameplay). [h2]Visual effects ๐ŸŒˆ[/h2] And to finish, I've also dedicated some time to the general visual aspects of the game.
